I'm a sucker for fat birds so I sculpted a fat little chicken figure (( a Thicc'en if you will))! The model is available here on my cults 3D!

I initially made this little lady for my mom and painted them to look like a bunch of different breeds. While I was making them it registered for me that people have been making fat animals since the beginning of time and I come with evidence.

fat sparrow netsuke

This is a 'Fat Sparrow' netsuke from Japan's Edo period in the later 17-1800s.

fat hippo sculpture

This is a hippo figurine from Egypt made between 780 and 525 B.C.E.. While significantly less stylized than the sparrow ((and honestly quite true to what hippos actually look like,)) it is still the human desire to craft a fat animal made physical.

venus of willendorf

What I find the most charming and adorable is how even before the human need to make fat animals existed, there was the human need to make chunky little women. The Venus of Willendorf is a shining example of this and sits at the proud age of 36,000 years old.

On my mission to find her information I also discovered the Natural History Museum of Vienna has been creating a wealth of scans from their collection online for the public and I'd love to print some of their artifacts if the fidelity allows for it.
